Karen Brown
A freelance writer and radio journalist, Brown has written for the Smith Alumnae Quarterly since 2001. She is a reporter at National Public Radio station WFCR in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she focuses on health, arts, and community issues. She also produces radio documentaries and features for National Public Radio and other national outlets. Brown is a former reporter with The Philadelphia Inquirer, and has written for national publications, including The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and The San Francisco Examiner. She lives in Northampton, Massachusetts.
