Since the early 1900s, Smith College’s Lyman Conservatory has exploded with awe-inspiring aisles of color during the annual Fall Chrysanthemum Show, a tradition that continues to deliver a dose of inspiration about nature’s bounty-—and beauty. Many Smith students, alumnae and area residents stopped by to marvel at a delicate petal, a breathtaking hue or a new style of flower, thanks to Smith students’ experiments in hybridization. The show ran from November 3-18.
