Welcome to the Smith College Club of the Peninsula website

About Our Organization

We are a group of Smith alumnae of all ages and professions who continue to get excited about Smith and meeting other Smith alumnae.

Our club area includes every city on the Peninsula from the northern border of Monterey to the southern border of San Francisco. There are more than 1,500 Smith alumnae in the Bay Area and over 600 of them call the Peninsula home.

The Smith College Club of the Peninsula was formed with three goals in mind:

  1. To connect Peninsula-area alumnae with each other and the College through educational and social events;
  2. To support the future of Smith by recruiting top candidates from the Peninsula and helping them through the entire admissions process; and
  3. To actively support current Smithies from the Peninsula through our exam care packages program and social events.

The Smith College Club of the Peninsula is run entirely by a volunteeer board. Each year, the board develops a program of events that tries to respond to the varied ages, interests, and occupations of the membership.

These events usually take place at local alumnae homes and are a wonderful occasion to see former classmates, make new Smith friends and professional contacts, keep abreast of College developments, exchange ideas, and enjoy the camaraderie of our local Smith network.

Additional events come up throughout the year and most invitations go out by email. To ensure you receive these invitations via email, please confirm your contact information with the College. Visit alumnae.smith.edu or call 413-585-2040.

Please feel free to contact any of the board members with your questions, ideas, and suggestions for activities, as well as for volunteering to help in any way.  We welcome your involvement!
