Located 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, the
Galápagos Islands are an equatorial paradise of richly
diverse sea and wildlife species, many found only in the
Galápagos. You and your family are invited to explore
the islands aboard the casual and comfortable Santa
Cruz. You'll swim alongside tiny Galápagos penguins and playful sea
lions; snorkel with tropical fish; take a boat ride through mangrove-ringed
inlets; encounter giant tortoises and prehistoric-looking marine iguanas in
their native, volcanic habitats; and spend evenings stargazing at southern
and northern constellations simultaneously. Children will be especially
enriched by this living, breathing classroom, attended by a team of youth
coordinators, local naturalists, and study leaders from Smith and Yale who
will add depth to an already unforgettable experience.
