uatemala is a land rich in natural beauty, impressive archaeological sites, and fascinating traditions. On this trip, you'll fly to Antigua, where you'll have the unique opportunity to experience Guatemala's most important national celebration—Semana Santa, or Holy Week, which brings to life ancient rituals and features glorious pageantry, like elaborate carpets woven from flowers and colorful processions that begin at dawn and last well into the night on Good Friday. Aside from joining in the celebration, you'll visit famed local markets where indigenous people come to buy and sell their wares, and you'll have plenty of time to savor the country's splendid museums and breathtaking scenery.
