The 106-year-old Panama Canal is the centerpiece of this shipboard adventure, set against a backdrop of white-sand beaches, cliffs, coves, and tropical rain forests. Board the sumptuous Crystal Symphony on the Pacific side of the canal in Caldera, Costa Rica, where you'll explore lush jungles and plantations. After traversing the canal's six locks, you'll bask on Aruba's beaches, stroll cosmopolitan Philipsburg on St. Maarten or swim amid the island's vibrant coral reefs, and savor rustic villages and chic shopping on St. Barts. End your journey on the palm-shaded sands of Tortola, capital of the British Virgin Islands, before disembarking in Miami. Throughout the trip, you'll participate in lectures, including one from an expert on the Panama Canal who will reveal engineering secrets of the Galliard Cut. There also is an optional pre-program extension to Costa Rica.
