Smith College alumnae, accompanied by their friends and families, traveled to the Adriatic Riviera, arriving in the northeastern Italian gulf city of Trieste, then traveled to Piran, and Slovenia. From here, they cruised along Portoroz Bay to the coastal towns of Izola and Koper. In Lipica, they boarded an electric train bound for the incredible Postojna Cave, home to the fascinating “human fish” as well as more than 200 other cave creatures. In Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana, they strolled through the streets, marveling at its unique historical and cultural history. They then crossed Slovenia’s border into Croatia, visiting Porec, Lim Fiord, and Rovinj, before arriving at the legendary city of Venice, Queen of the Adriatic.
