Sail from the southernmost tip of South America to the southernmost tip of Africa, a route rarely traveled by contemporary cruise ships. You’ll visit British territories, including the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and ultra-remote, volcanic Tristan da Cunha, located halfway between continents. You’ll be accompanied by former NASA astronaut and spacecraft commander Frederick Hauck, who will discuss his Space Shuttle experiences; astronomer Rick Feinberg; and Piers Brendon, an expert on the British Empire. You’ll view wildlife colonies on rugged, windswept islands, and by night your private classroom will be the panorama of the southern sky.
