The ancient nation of Wales boasts the oldest language
and one of the most dramatic coastlines in Europe, and
more castles per mile than anywhere else in the world.
Your Welsh adventure will begin amid the soaring
mountains and turreted fortresses of North Wales— home of Snowdonia National Park, with the highest elevation in Southern
Britain. From there, you'll follow coastal headlands and beaches
south to view Pentre Ifan, the most imposing Stone Age monument in
Britain, and St. David's Cathedral, the second holiest site in medieval
Christendom. On the way, you'll meet with three of Wales' best-known
poets and take a stroll on the Pembrokeshire National Coast Path—its
stupendous seaside views are second to none—before completing your
tour in Cardiff, Wales' gleaming capital city.
