Kathleen Marshall ’85, a 2009 Smith medalist and three-time Tony Award winner, is directing Obsessed, a new musical about American songwriter Diane Warren. Marshall will also direct and choreograph a musical about the life and career of the late Frank Sinatra.

The Story of Smith’s First African Student

Read about the late Ng'endo Mwangi ’61—the first African woman to attend Smith. She went on to attend the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and then returned home to Kenya to become the country’s first woman physician. The Mwangi Cultural Center at Smith was named in her honor.
