April 12, 2021 – The Memory Memo Project
Dear Classmates,
Every one of us can be part of this reunion by contributing NOW to our Memory Memo Project. Write up to 70 words about your favorite Smith memory or memories and send them to us one of three ways:
- Email it directly to our new class email address: smithcollegeclassof1951@gmail.com
- Mail it to Barbara Roberts Tilney at 7968 East 54th Place, Denver, CO, 80238
- Phone Janice Schick Clauser at (765) 866-1414 who will type it and email it for you.
You might mention your favorite course (science, literature, languages); your favorite teacher; the places you studied; Paradise Pond; your six sets of sports lessons (four semesters required, remember?); extra-curricular experiences; how you used the library (remember the reserved readings?); your house and/or housemother; lifelong friends from class or residence; boyfriends; weekend travels; your undergraduate summers; junior year abroad; favorite foods (remember the asparagus season?); Green Street life; downtown Northampton. There’s lots to choose from.
Your reunion co-chairs will collect all of the memories and make them available for all of us to read. Classmates without email service can access our class website with help from a family member or friend’s computer, but we hope you will ‘tackle this technology’ and use our class email address and class website as the new communication links for us all.
What fun it will be to read one another’s best memories of Smith as we prepare for reunion and look at our website for news from now on. Thanks for taking part!
