Programs & Services

Alumnae Admissions/Prospective Students: The Club generates interest in Smith College in a number of ways: we interview prospective students, answer questions, attend college fairs, raise money for book awards, and present book awards at local high schools.

College Luncheon Series: The College Luncheon Series is sponsored by a group of Boston area alumni of Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Hamilton, Middlebury, Smith, Trinity, and Williams Colleges. Meetings are held at the Union Club, 8 Park Street, usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday; speakers are distinguished members of the community. For further information e-mail Diane Neal Emmons, dnemmons@aol.com NOTE: Tickets are held at the door.

Young Alumnae: We have a subgroup of young alumnae, loosely defined as up to 10 years out of Smith. Good for meeting friends, networking, apartment hunting, etc. We try to keep costs for events for this group low or free. For info, contact BostonSmithCollegeClub@gmail.com.

Programs and Events: The BSCC arranges a wide range of programs and events of interest to our members. We try to plan different kinds of events in a variety of locations, and at different prices, since our geographical area is large and our membership diverse. Some of our past and ongoing events include:

  • Young Alumnae Get Togethers
  • Mountain Day Party
  • Holiday Party
  • Annual High Tea
  • Check out BSCC Flickr for pictures of past events.
