Hear from Faculty and Staff A number of faculty sign up every year to speak to alumnae groups on topics within their area of expertise. We also host admissions staff and other administrators, including the president, on a regular basis.
Connect with the College of Today There are a large number of juniors spending a semester or year here every year. We host two events specifically for these JYA students each year, and many have commented how much they appreciated the welcome away from home. In return, we get to hear the inside view on Smith while building the alumnae association of tomorrow. And more than a few members have gotten occasional childminding and other help!
Shape the College of Tomorrow Help in shaping the Smith of tomorrow by talking to applicants, performing interviews, and sharing your experience with newly accepted students while they are still making their decision.
Support Kew Garden Interns Every year, two students are awarded grants to study molecular biology and conservation genetics at Kew Garden’s Jodrell Laboratory. For over ten years, Club has supported these interns by hosting a welcome event and contributing to their living expenses.
Connect with Other Local Alumnae Locate friends, classmates, services and business services through our annual directory. Receive notices of upcoming events and news from alumnae or post your own news.
Seven College Connection Smith Club members are welcomed at the two annual events of the Seven College (formerly Seven Sisters) Conference, the second of which is traditionally a luncheon hosting a well-known author.
Special Interest Groups Alumnae have formed a classic book club. Small and flexible, it is always open to new joiners.
Smith in Europe Every two years, the Smith Club of Great Britain joins alumnae from all over Europe and College staff for a long weekend of educational and social events.
We cannot survive without you! The club is an entirely dues-supported, volunteer-run organization, and will only ever be as strong as its members.
