Sheila Markin BOOK CLUB

The Sheila Markin Book Group of SCCS is a flexible group of smart, well educated women who like to talk about books. We meet First Tuesdays at 1 pm from October to May.  We  get together at each other’s homes.  Each month, one of us is the designated discussion leader.   We choose the books based on the recommendations of our members. We have no restrictions on which books, but we do try to read one classic a year.
For the 2020-2021 year, we will be reading Word by Word by Kory Stamper ’99, Midnight in Chernobyl, Bad Blood, North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell (our classic), The Spy who was Left Behind, The Pecan Man, and Just Mercy.  This list is subject to adjustment.
The group welcomes new members.  Contact Linda Buxbaum for more information.
