India, officially the Republic of India, is the seventh largest country (by geographical area) and the most populous democracy in the world, being home to over a billion people.

Geographically, it is bounded by the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, and Bay of Bengal. Its neighbors are Pakistan, Nepal, People’s Republic of China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.

New Delhi is the capital and second largest metropolis city after Mumbai in India.
