Lavender Tea and Pick-Your-Own Lavender at Blooming Hill Lavender Farm

June 12 at 1:00 PM

We invite you to join us for tea at Blooming Hill Lavender Farm on Saturday, June 12th at our first in-person event since March 2020! Blooming Hill is a tiny “farmlet” owned by Cyndie and Peter Rinek on four acres in the rolling hills of Philomont, Virginia, in Western Loudoun County. The property has over 1000 lavender plants, lovely tendered private gardens, and a gift shop. On June 11-12, Blooming Hill will host their annual Lavender Festival (open to the public) and open their field for “pick-your-own” lavender and serve tea.

Blooming Hill will serve a “traditional cream tea” that includes a savory scone with toppings and one English scone or lavender scone with Devon cream and strawberry jam or lemon curd, a side sweet (lavender-infused shortbread or lavender-infused Russian tea cake), a scoop of Blooming Hill lavender-infused ice cream and side confection with hot tea and/or Blooming Hill lavender lemonade iced tea. The very reasonable cost of tea is $18, which includes gratuity.

Registration: Please register by June 1st, as we anticipate this will be a popular event with limited space.
Location: Blooming Hill Lavender Farm and Gift Shop, 19929 Telegraph Springs Road, Purcellville, Virginia 20132
Cost: Tea is $18, plus gratuity. Since this will be a popular event, we recommend that you register in advance and pay for tea with our group. Upon registration (Google form), we will send you a PayPal link. The cost to PYO lavender will be announced by Blooming Hill closer to the event.
Covid Protocol: This event is outdoors. Blooming Hill Lavender Farm requires that you wear a mask on the property (unless having tea). They have hand sanitizing stations throughout the property.
Travel: If you are interested in carpooling with other Smithies, please indicate this in your registration.
Registration: Please contact the SCCW office to register.
