Auditing Courses at SmithSmith College is pleased to offer alumnae the opportunity to audit courses for a small fee during the regular school year. To audit a course alumnae must first obtain an audit form from the registrar. This form must be signed by the professor of the course being audited, and returned to the registrar's office with the audit fee. Currently the cost to audit a course is $50 for lecture courses and $200 for beginning language courses, performance courses, and any course with a lab component. Next semester's offerings are currently available on Smith's online course catalog or contact the Office of the Registrar at 413-585-2550. Alumnae Use of Smith FacilitiesAlumnae are welcome to use the various facilities on campus, including the libraries, art museum, and the Ainsworth/Scott. Alumnae should obtain the Smith College One Card at the OneCard office in Stoddard Hall (413-585-3082) to borrow from the libraries or to purchase a gym membership. Remember to bring your photo ID when applying for the OneCard. For security reasons Smith does not provide individual access to campus wireless networks; Internet terminals are available in the libraries and the Campus Center. Libraries Alumnae are welcome to use the Smith College libraries, including all publicly available electronic catalogues and databases. Smith alumnae may use the OneCard or apply for a library borrower’s card (please bring a picture ID) at the circulation desk of any of the libraries. There is no charge for a borrower’s card but the card must be renewed annually. The OneCard or borrower’s card allows alumnae to borrow materials in person; the libraries do not lend materials to alumnae by mail. Alumnae may access the online archive JSTOR—comprised of hundreds of journals in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences—simply by logging in to the Smith Alumnae Directory. For interlibrary loan services, alumnae should contact their local public libraries. Library hours and descriptions of collections are available at www.smith.edu/libraries. Internet terminals are available in the libraries and the Campus Center.
