Alumnae Education
-
n keeping with the belief that education doesn't end with graduation, the Alumnae Association of Smith College provides opportunities for alumnae to continue their intellectual connection with the College by offering exciting programs both on and off campus. Smith Travel, faculty speakers and regional events provide programs that feature the resources of the College for alumnae around the world. Alumnae College adds an academic component to reunion weekends on campus and the online reading room allows alumnae to connect with the College and with each other without leaving home.

More information about alumnae education programs is available online or contact Betsy Baird, Associate Director for Alumnae Education at bbaird@smith.edu or (800) 526-2023 x 4.

The Alumnae Association offers educational events that share the intellectual resources of the College with alumnae around the country. Symposia and special programs are planned in conjunction with area alumnae. Alumnae Association staff and a volunteer steering committee in the region design a unique program that complements the interests of alumnae in the region. All programs highlight the strengths of a liberal arts education and can include any of the academic disciplines offered at the college such as art, literature, history, social science, natural science and philosophy. Presenters include faculty and staff as well as notable alumnae.

Over the next three years, regional educational events will be presented in several regions.
