Welcome to the official web page of the Smith College Club of the Treasure Coast. The Smith College Club of the Treasure Coast has been in existence for many decades, offering ways for graduates to connect with fellow graduates and the College, as well as learn more about our community here on the Treasure Coast, including opportunities for volunteer work and/or support.
Sprinkled throughout the season from November through April each year the club hosts 4 or 5 events. These include: a late fall event, such as a visit to a local non-profit organization to learn more about the work it does, perhaps followed by a luncheon at a local restaurant; a cocktail party for alums and spouses/partners/significant others at the home of a member or at a local venue; a docent tour of the current exhibit at the Vero Beach Art Museum, followed by a tailgate party in the adjacent parking lot; and an annual luncheon meeting at a member’s home with a speaker and issues upon which to vote to wind up the season.
In 2024 we added a lovely tea with President Sarah Willie-Breton to get to know her better and an interesting back-stage tour of the Riverside Theater during the run of “Kinky Boots.”
This year we’re also hosting a visit from the Smith College Director of Athletics and her basketball players during their spring break.

“Since its founding in 1871, Smith College has provided women of high ability and promise an education of uncompromising quality. A world-class faculty of scholars are fully engaged with their students’ intellectual development, and an open curriculum encourages each student to explore many fields of knowledge. Mentors for scholarship, leadership and service, across all spectrums of endeavor, allow Smith students to observe different models of achievement, then set their own course with conviction.”
