Be among the rare few to visit the world’s 740 remaining mountain gorillas in the primeval forests of Uganda and Rwanda. Your trip begins in Uganda with game drives to see lions, hippos, and elephants in magnificent Queen Elizabeth National Park. Also in the park, you’ll track chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge and view rare tree-climbing lions. Next you’ll travel to the dense forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, and Parc National des Volcans in Rwanda, for close-up encounters with critically endangered mountain gorillas. Throughout your journey you’ll visit community schools and clinics, concluding with a city tour of Kigali, Rwanda’s bustling capital. Dartmouth College is co-sponsoring this trip.
