Reunion 2020 Update
Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, Smith College has decided to cancel on campus reunion. Anyone who has already registered will receive a full refund.
But we’re not letting that stop us from connecting around reunion time!
2020 is the 45th anniversary of the Ada Comstock Scholars Program! In lieu of an on site reunion, Ada Alumnae are invited to participate in our first ever…
Zoom Wine & Cheese on Sunday, May 24, 2020 8-10 p.m. EDT
Special guests Ellie Rothman, Erika Laquer and current Class Dean Andrea Rossi-Reder will be joining us, as we reconnect, laugh and celebrate the current graduating Ada Class during this difficult and strange moment in time. An email is being sent that will allow you to register for the Ada Wine & Cheese. Space is limited to 100 people, so act fast to register!
Space is limited to 100 participants and we’ll have breakout rooms for friends to gather, so register now!
Nancy Pelosi was scheduled to speak at Commencement and graciously recorded her speech. Click the image below to view the video or click here.
And if you’re missing or feeling nostalgic about illumination night, Smith put together this lovely collage of photos from Smithies around the world (and the intro is by an Ada!). Click the image below to open the video or click here.
SUPPORT CURRENT AND FUTURE ADA COMSTOCK SCHOLARS
There will be 37 Ada graduates of the Class of 2020 who will not share our common experience marching — roses in hand — in the Alumnae Parade, nor the joy of filling the Quad in their caps and gowns and walking across the stage, nor the Smith tradition of the Diploma Circle. This year, in honor of those 37 Ada graduates, we encourage you to give some denomination of $37 ($37, or $137, etc.).
As the Ada Comstock Scholars Class, we now have the opportunity to give to two money streams that directly benefit the Adas.
To contribute, click the link below, and after putting in the amount, you will have the opportunity to use the drop down menu to select the Smith Fund Ada Comstock Scholarship or the Eleanor B. Rothman Ada Comstock Scholarship Fund. Both of these funds directly benefit the Ada Comstock Scholars program. You can, of course, contribute to the general Smith Fund, or other options, but we want you to be aware of these two Ada specific funding opportunities.
You can also make your gift in honor or memory of someone important to you, and that person will be notified of your thoughtfulness. You might consider honoring a fellow Ada, a favorite professor, or the Ada Director or Dean during your time at Smith.

Next reunion in 2025 will be the 50th Anniversary of the Ada Comstock Scholars program, so start planning now!
Please be on the lookout over the next several months in your email and also on social media on the Ada Comstock Scholars Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/adacomstockscholars and the official Ada Comstock Alums page at https://www.facebook.com/AdaComstockAlumnae, and on Instagram at @ada_class for updates about the Ada Comstock Scholars Class in anticipation of the 2025 Ada Reunion. We will be celebrating the first 50 years of OUR program and intend to make this a momentous celebration. We not only remember the friendships, the hard work, the utter exhaustion and the insurmountable glory of success as we look back on 50 years—and also on those who filled the campus halls as Ada Comstock Scholars — individuals with a different path to a common goal.
