We’re glad you’re visiting the website of the LGBTQ Alumnae Alliance, a community of the Alumnae Association of Smith College for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer alumnae and allies.
Our website, like our community, is a work-in-progress. Specifically, we are looking for a couple of people interested in helping to lead this group, organizing reunion LGBTQ events, etc. For now, we offer some good information, news and events, so click around! We look to you, our readership, to give us the comments, ideas and news to grow and improve the site — and lead the community to continue, or to become an official Affinity Group of the AASC. Our mission statement…
The LGBTQ Alumnae Alliance of Smith College serves to connect alumnae and alumni across generations to provide personal and professional support as well as to engage in dialogue relating to sexual orientation and gender identity and other relevant civic and social issues. We join with the Alumnae Association of Smith College (AASC) to increase visibility and diversity, offer support to LGBTQ students and prospective students, and strengthen connections among the AASC, the College, and our members.
