Florida Studio Theatre Tour
We launch our Season with a behind-the-scenes look at Sarasota’s contemporary Florida Studio Theatre.
See how this regional, professional theatre has grown from a grassy lot at the 1914 Women’s Club to a 5-theatre, multi-property organization, challenging and entertaining the 3rd largest subscriber-based audience in the country.
There is no fee for the tour, but an individual donation to the FST would be greatly appreciated.
We’ll meet at the Keating Theatre, located at the corner of Palm and Cocoanut Avenues.
The tour is approximately 1-1 1/2 hours long and includes visiting several different buildings. Wear comfortable shoes. There will be opportunities to sit throughout the tour.

Tour of the Sarasota Opera House
We will tour this beautiful cultural landmark and learn about its fascinating history as it prepares to celebrate its 100th Anniversary!
Lunch following the 1- hour tour at Café Epicure

Experience Two Glass Art Exhibits in One Day!
We begin at Ringling College’s Babara Basch Gallery, enjoy lunch at the Ringling Museum restaurant, and finish at the Ringling Museum’s Kolter-Coville Pavilion.

Meet Dr. Jacqueline Hornor Plumez

Dr. Hornor Plumez has appeared on The Today Show and Good Morning America, and her articles have appeared in Ladies Home Journal and the New York Times Magazine. Her books include Successful Adoption, Divorcing a Corporation, Mother Power, and The Bitch in Your Head.
