Dalai Lama to Visit Smith College
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will address the Smith College community at 1 p.m. Friday, October 23, in the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility. Gwen Young '91 was named the new director of the Wilson Center's Global Women's Leadership Initiative (GWLI). As an attorney and public policy professional, Young has advocated for the role of girls and women in leading political, social and economic development. Smithies have contributed more than $350 million to The Smith Fund and Women for the World: The Campaign for Smith. With 16 months and $100 million left to go, we need to keep up the momentum.
