Smith Launches Online Course on Women’s Activism
Smith has partnered with massive online open course provider edX to present “Psychology of Political Activism: Women Changing the World.” The seven-week course, which begins March 14, will be taught by Lauren Duncan, professor of psychology at Smith. Click here to register.  
What We Can Learn From Zebrafish Reimagining Neilson Library Together Series Follows First-Years at Smith
In Smith’s Zebrafish Research Center, Professor Michael Barresi and his students hope these creatures can shed light on human ailments. Nearly 1,900 students, faculty, staff and alumnae have submitted ideas for a reimagined Neilson, through a series of library engagement sessions.   Meet Adrianna (New York City), Aditi (Nepal) and Gwen (Pennsylvania) as they navigate their first year of college in the video series “About a First-Year.”
Alumnae Honored at Rally Day 2016
Rea Carey ’89, executive director of the National LGBTQ Task Force (pictured left), business leader Phebe Novakovic ’79, arts patron Joan White Harris ’52, and documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy ’02 will be honored with a Smith Medal at this year’s Rally Day ceremony on Wednesday, February 17, at 1 p.m. EST.
