Having a Zoom meeting with other ’63ers in your house is turning out to be a fun way to reconnect with women you have known since you were 18 years old. Several of the houses have started holding hour-long meetings monthly or bi-monthly. Think of it as a monthly “Zoom Hour”.
Houses have taken different approaches to the Zoom Hour
One house is allowing each member to tell about her life for a whole meeting. There’s Q&A, of course.
Another house has a life question to answer for each meeting. For example: “What are you looking forward to?”
Another celebrated a birthday party — long distance.
In yet another Zoom meeting they spent 5 or 6 minutes each talking about their lives and how they matched what they thought their lives would be when they graduated. (No exact matches! Only one came fairly close to her ideas at age 21.)
Holding a Zoom Hour meeting, by the way, is easy-peasy
The Class has a Zoom account that any house may use and Carole Whitehill can help you get started. The biggest problem is getting everyone to smile at the same time when taking a picture. So take a photo of your House Zoom Hour and submit it to the Web Chair (carollight@sbcglobal.net) Please send only as .jpg or .png
