In mid July 2009, the club had a send off party for new and returning Smith students at Pi Restaurant in University City.
A group of alumnae saw the movie “Julie and Julia” at the Chase Park Plaza Cinema in September.
On December 12, alumnae went to hear the St. Louis Symphony and Chorus perform Handel’s Messiah. Amy Kaiser, a Smith alumna and director of the chorus, graciously hosted a pre-show talk at her home to help attendees become familiar with the program.
In February 2010, alumnae saw the play “Delilah’s Wish,” written and performed by alumna Mariah L. Richardson, at the Missouri History Museum.
The Club welcomed President Carol Christ on April 14, 2010. President Christ outlined her vision and shared details about a number of important curricular initiatives. The talk was followed by a disucssion that focused on Smith and its role in the world.
The Club’s annual meeting was held at the Ritz Carlton in May and the meeting attendees participated in the afternoon tea service.
To end the Club’s fiscal year, a group of alumnae met at the Boat House in Forest Park for a caual gathering in June.
