2013-2014 Year in Review

The Club began fiscal year 2013 with a send off party for new and returning Smith students. The group met in July 2013 at Pi Restaurant in University City.

In October 2013, several alumnae had tea and watched an online web stream of the inauguration of President Kathleen McCartney.

In April 2014 several events occurred.
– The Club hosted a Push Party for recently admitted students.
– The Club chose and sent Tori Murden McClure’s “A Pearl in the Storm: How I Found My Heart in the Middle of the Ocean” as the Book Award book to be given to local high school girls in their junior year.
– Several alumnae went to the Alvin Ailey performance at the Fabulous Fox Theater.

In May 2014, members of the club and their guests went to Powell Symphony Hall to hear the St. Louis Symphony Chorus’ performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana (director Amy Kaiser ’65) with Conductor Carlos Izcaray leading the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
