We are excited for the return of our annual Wine Tasting! In addition to celebrating the onset of warm weather and enjoying dynamic wines hand picked by our friends at Magnolia Wines, the event is special in its objective to raise scholarship funds in support of a local student studying at Smith. For extra fun this year, we will be hosting a silent auction of select Smith-themed items. Stay tuned for more details!wine2012

We’re incredibly proud that the SCCC community has enabled us to contribute $12,000 for the past three years!  To ensure we can continue this level of support, though, we need to add new sponsors to this generous group.  If you’re interested in helping a local Smith student reap the fullest rewards of her education, please consider becoming a sponsor for this special event.

Benefactors ($500+), Table Sponsors ($350-$499), and Patrons ($200-$349) will receive admission for themselves and 4 guests.  Donors ($100-$199) may bring 2 guests. Sponsor donations can be made online via Paypal or by mailing a check to the following address:

Watch a Red Sox Game and Help the Environment!

Date/Game TBD (July)
Fenway Park, Boston

Pig Papi at Bat

What can be better than enjoying a game at Fenway Park on a beautiful summer day? If you answered “volunteering to protect the environment”, we have just the event for you!

We are setting up a day to volunteer at Fenway Park as members of the Poland Spring Green Team. In exchange for roaming the stadium between innings and helping collect recyclables from fans to make the Red Sox’s commitment to single stream recycling easier and more visible, you get to watch the game for free, get a food and beverage voucher, a free t-shirt (very soft, and made of recycled materials) and have fun at this historic park with your fellow Smithies! Stay tuned for information on the exact date and how to sign up!

Volunteer at On The Rise (Postponed!)

New date TBD!
341 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02139

Did you have a great time volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank (or were you sad you missed it)? Join us for another day of volunteering to help our community, this time at On The Rise, a program that helps women build the relationships and resources they need to safely get out of homelessness. We will be volunteering as part of a Service Day to help them in whatever capacity they most need, like sorting clothing, small cooking projects, handy work, helping with arts and crafts, or working in the garden and clearing the grounds (weather permitting).
