- The Smith ’69 Zoomers
Margi Nareff facilitates the monthly get togethers of The ’69 Zoomers which meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 5-6 pm ET. Initially focused on issues of social justice, the group has broadened to discuss issues of aging, personal volunteer passions, book recommendations and more.
Each month’s topic is decided by the group and every viewpoint is welcome. Although the get togethers regularly draw anywhere from a dozen to 20 classmates from across the country, there are almost forty “members,” and minutes are shared with everyone. Each month we welcome more classmates—-the more the merrier!

- Our 55th Reunion seems a long way off…but it’s not! The Reunion Planning Team Reconnects on Zoom
Mid May 2024 seems like a long way off into the future. And with everything going on in our personal lives, not to mention everything happening on the national and international fronts requiring a part of our attention, it does seem a bit out there—-not an urgent issue! But to our Class Leadership team and our Reunion Planning Team, it feels like a bright shiny comet heading at us at lightning speed…just months away! As we get closer and closer to our Reunion date, that busy group Reconnects via ZOOM fairly frequently to craft a super interesting and satisfying weekend in Northampton amongst long time friends—-and some new ones. Kudo’s to President Roz Zakheim and her team and, of course, the Reunion workhorses Rosa Leader Smith, Gale Eaton, Ellen Matzkin, Margi Wittigschlager Nareff and all of the Reunion planning team. The group has lots of great ideas and the energy to make them a reality.
