Why I’m Coming to Reunion!

We asked some classmates to tell us why they are coming to the 55th Reunion May 23 – 26.  Here’s what they said

Class President Roz Zakheim

Roz says: I’m looking forward to getting together with classmates, memorializing those we’ve lost, learning about travel tips and our aging but dynamic brains, and enjoying Smith’s beautiful campus in its springtime glory. The more friends, the better — please come and celebrate our 55th!

Rosa Leader Smith.

Rosa says:  My best wishes to all classmates! I hope you are able to join us for a fun and meaningful weekend to reconnect, connect newly and Embrace our Futures.

Susan Bangs Munro & Andy

Susan says:  I’m coming to reunion to share stories with friends, to hug those who have lost loved ones, and to celebrate with YOU!

Gale Eaton

Gale says:  Since March 2020, I’ve been growing hydroponic gardens and online friendships with Smith classmates. I can hardly wait to see you in person. Northampton in May! Bring umbrellas and bug spray. It will be great.

Sue Herrick Foley

Sue says:  I really like attending reunions—fun and memorable events and a way to personally see how Smith has changed since 1969.  The best part, however for me, is catching up with long-time (and new) friends.

Joan Meltzer FitzGibbon

Joan says:  Coming to Reunion for me is, most of all, a rare and valuable opportunity to be with treasured friends and other classmates I don’t know as well.  I always enjoy seeing what’s new on campus and looking back on my four years at Smith.

Ellen Kierr Stein

Ellen says:  LETS FACE IT: Reunions celebrate memories and create connections! My role is to put together the Virtual Art Show (VAS) that will be on exhibit at our reunion headquarters. Come see the wonderful work of our class artists and artisans!

Margi Wittigschlager Nareff

Margi says:  I’m not going to walk all the way from Bug Light in Maine but I can’t wait to get to reunion and hug all the classmates I’ve gotten to know via Zoom in get togethers and reunion planning!

Margot “Maggie” Levy

Margot says:  I’m coming to reunion because I know I’ll never look better than I do right now, so, why not?!?   I hope to see you there to share our memories of the past and our hopes for the future.

Linda Sosnowitz

Linda Says:  I’m looking forward to being together for a picture perfect 55th Reunion of Smith ’69 May 23-26.

Margie Barkin Searl

Margie says:  I’m happy to be on the reunion planning team because it connects me with a fine group of women who are putting together a great weekend for all of us. I love being part of the excitement being generated for as long as possible.

Sandra Fascell Diamond &
Sue Ann Levin Schiff

Sandra says:  Had a fabulous visit recently with my Chapin House classmate, Sue Ann Levin Schiff . Can’t wait for Reunion to see more old friends and make some new ones!

Priscilla Carter Fort

Priscilla says:  What could be more inviting than Northampton in the spring? And – at this age – would I pass up the opportunity to share the laughter and memories once again with the smart, funny, creative women who started out there with me so many years ago?
